Riding Giants: How to innovate and educate ahead of the wave

This is the conference platform for the 21st annual conference of the Association for Learning Technology was held from Monday 1st – Wednesday 3rd September 2014 in Warwick, UK. (download a PDF of the flyer for the ALT Annual Conference 2014). As the leading Learning Technology conference in the UK, the Association for Learning Technology (ALT) annual conference brings together practitioners, researchers and policy makers from across education to share their research and experience.

The 2014 conference was chaired by Sarah Cornelius, Linda Creanor and Joe Wilson, under the theme ‘Riding Giants: How to innovate and educate ahead of the wave’. The programme was designed to bring together evidence, theory, success stories and critical thinking from across education around five key themes:
