Remote viewing of streamed sessions

A number of the sessions at this years conference will be streamed live. These are marked on the Programme as ‘Live Streamed’. [Amy Sampson (@amysampsonuk) has also kindly created a Google Calendar of Live Streamed events which is embedded at the end of this page or download the ics/iCAL file.]

To view a live streamed session open the session details page e.g. here’s the welcome from co-chairs. Each live streamed session page includes an embedded YouTube player. When the session is due to start click on the play button to see the stream. If you are having problems with the video player the YouTube official help is the best starting point.

Missed a live session?

Recordings of live sessions are immediately available so don’t worry if you miss a session. After each presentation the ‘session chat’ will however be closed.

Contributing to the ‘session chat’

Each live stream session has the facility for a shared chat window. To enable the session chat tab you need to be logged in and following the session (the ‘follow session’ button is displayed beneath the embedded video). If you do not have an account with this site, which is separate from the main ALT site, you can register here. To use the session chat click the ‘Guest’ button and enter your preferred display name. The session chat window can be popped out and repositioned using the button indicated below. The same chat window is used for all the live events and if you are participating in back-to-back events you can use the same popped out chat window. Our online coordinators will provide guidance during the session.
