Established in 1968, as regional supercomputing centre following recommendations of the Flower report, the University of London Computer Centre (ULCC) has evolved into a highly respected and innovative brand within the academic and not-for-profit sector.
ULCC’s learning technology, IT and digital preservation specialists now provide services to over 300 customers within the education and not-for-profit sector and support Moodle for over 3 million students across Further and Higher Education institutions in the UK, including Manchester Metropolitan University, King’s College and University of London International Academy.

A major project, funded by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills, is underway led by a team based at the Institute for Employment Research (University of Warwick), including data experts, with developers and technologists from Pontydysgu and Raycom designing, developing and delivering a careers labour market information (LMI) webportal: ‘LMI for All’. The web portal is innovative, as it seeks to link and open up careers focused LMI with the intention of optimising access to, and use of, core national data sources that can be used to support individuals make better decisions about learning and work.
