Description
Session Description
The InventEUrs and GlobalChangemakerss.eu (Erasmus+ project funded by the European Commission) uses Scratch as a tool for collaborative digital storytelling and civic engagement. Through the use of Scratch, Kidblog, and other tools, we digitally up-skill teachers to become more confident in the classroom and also raise their awareness of inclusivity in educational practice.
We will share the outcomes of our two year project which has enabled teachers across Europe and the rest of the world to deliver educational sessions to more than 1000 children from 40 different classes of 30 schools from 7 countries from 3 continents. These children have been interconnected among them for 15 weeks, with mixed teams with children from different countries, they have co-created Scratch projects about global issues and Human Development topics (Sustainable Cities).
The audience will hear from our participating teachers and students on their learning experiences and we will share our research outcomes and lessons learned.
