{"id":366,"date":"2024-06-03T10:55:31","date_gmt":"2024-06-03T09:55:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/altc.alt.ac.uk\/2024\/?page_id=366"},"modified":"2024-07-03T13:54:07","modified_gmt":"2024-07-03T12:54:07","slug":"scholarships","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/altc.alt.ac.uk\/2024\/registration\/scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarships (closed)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scholarships<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Scholarship applications for the Annual Conference 2024 closed 1 July 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applications are welcome from all of the community, including speakers for the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who can apply?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scholarship places are available to support individuals based anywhere in the world;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This scholarship option is specifically available to unfunded individuals, teaching and support staff and students and members of the public who are not otherwise supported by an organisation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The funds available to cover registration costs are limited and will be decided on merit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is no appeal procedure once a decision has been made.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You may be required to provide evidence of your circumstances in order to qualify (e.g student number, line manager\u2019s letter, etc).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any inaccuracy in the description of your circumstances will lead to any awards being withdrawn.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you are awarded a scholarship but are unable to attend, you must inform us as soon as possible.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If applying to attend in person, please note that your scholarship place will cover the cost of registration but delegates will need to arrange and fund their  travel and accommodation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Become a scholarship sponsor!<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Support members of the community to attend the conference, helping us keep with the spirit of \u2018open\u2019 by removing barriers to participation. Applications from organisations are open to become a scholarship sponsor for just \u00a32000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Entitlements for scholarship sponsors:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Guest blog post sharing your vision for greater inclusion and participation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Listing on the conference website;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promotion on social media and in mailings about conference scholarships;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access to the participant list and social space;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1x 3 conference pass;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1x seat at the Gala Dinner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Email <strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"mailto:eventmanager@alt.ac.uk\">eventmanager@alt.ac.uk<\/a><\/strong> to express an interest or find out more about <strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/altc.alt.ac.uk\/2023\/sponsorship-and-exhibition\/\">other ways to support the community<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Scholarships Scholarship applications for the Annual Conference 2024 closed 1 July 2024.
