You can join the online platform (Zoom Events) via a web browser or by downloading the Zoom Workplace App<\/a> (no account required) on a desktop\/laptop or mobile device. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recommend you check if your system meets the Prerequisites for joining Zoom Events<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining the online platform<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. You will receive an email from noreply-zoomevents@zoom.us<\/strong> with the subject \u201cJoin ALT\u2019s Annual Conference 2024\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. The email will be sent to the address you used to register for the event. Please check your spam.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. To join on a desktop\/laptop, open the email on that device. Open the email and click Join<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. To join on a mobile device, ensure you have the Zoom Workplace App installed, open the email on your preferred device and press Join<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. You will be taken to the conference Lobby<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Retain the email<\/span> to allow you to re-join throughout the conference.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Getting started<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Click on Streams<\/strong> to view the available streams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Each day has a stream for the Keynote and a livestream per room.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. You can enter a search term<\/strong> or click on Filter<\/strong> by date or category, to find a stream.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Click on Hide ended streams<\/strong> to hide streams that have ended.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Click on the bookmark<\/strong> icon to add a stream to your itinerary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. Click on Itinerary<\/strong> to show your bookmarked streams.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    7. Click on your initials, in the top-right corner, followed by Create profile<\/strong> to upload a photo, update your first name, last name, position and company information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    8. If you would prefer not to be visible to others on the platform, click on your initials, in the top-right corner, and select Hide me<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Join a stream<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Please note: the speakers will not be able to see, hear or interact with you.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Click on Streams<\/strong>, or from your itinerary click on the stream from the calendar, and click Join<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Sessions that have started will display a Join<\/strong> button and red Now<\/strong> icon.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. If you have the Zoom Workplace App installed, it will open a dialogue to open the app OR<\/strong> you can download<\/strong> the Workplace App OR Join from your Browser<\/strong> (opens a new window).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. If the session hasn\u2019t started the screen will display a message that says Waiting for host to start the webinar<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. Once the stream starts, you should join automatically. If not, refresh your screen or return to the lobby and join again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. When you join, your camera will be disabled and your microphone will be muted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
