Open Course in Technology Enhanced Learning – ocTEL

Led by a group of ALT Members, work is underway to develop ocTEL, ALT’s first MOOC, on Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL). Starting in mid-April, the course will cover eleven weeks structured around key issues such as engaging learners, designing and delivering TEL and assessing impact. Designed so that participants can engage flexibly with the course activities and materials, using primarily Open Educational Resources (OERs) and Open Access publications, data created will be curated openly.

The project also aims to provide outputs of lessons learnt about designing, supporting and sustaining open courses at scale, contributing a new perspective to the growing body of work in this area.
