The provision of accessible materials is now a legal obligation. Can OER provide a solution for both students and institutions? The UKOER programme from 2009-2012 produced a huge range of teaching materials, many of which tried to incorporate accessibility features. But access audits have shown that the embedding of accessibility features has often been forgotten. This may have been due to the complexities involved with the process of releasing OERs or a lack of awareness about the ease with which some small adaptations can enhance use for all, not just for those with disabilities. This webinar will look at how materials can be released in an accessibility-friendly way with minimal effort. A culture of inclusive thinking, from purchases to personal practices, is good for everyone and all the more urgent with changes to disabled student allowances.<\/p>\n
The webinar took place\u00a0in Blackboard Collaborate.
