{"id":3092,"date":"2014-02-03T14:56:12","date_gmt":"2014-02-03T14:56:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/newsletter.alt.ac.uk\/?p=3092"},"modified":"2014-02-03T14:56:12","modified_gmt":"2014-02-03T14:56:12","slug":"join-the-new-alt-wales-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/altc.alt.ac.uk\/blog\/2014\/02\/join-the-new-alt-wales-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Join the new ALT Wales Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The ALT Wales Group is a new Special Interest Group (SIG) which is currently being established.<\/p>\n<p>Similar to the ALT Scotland Group, which was established in 2012 and which has since been very active, the ALT Wales Group is a national SIG for practitioners and researchers in learning technology based in Wales.<\/p>\n<p>ALT Wales will work to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>further the aims of ALT in Wales;<\/li>\n<li>promote the technology agenda in all sectors of Welsh education;<\/li>\n<li>encourage sharing of expertise, resources and best practice in learning technology within the context of Welsh education;<\/li>\n<li>influence relevant policy and strategy;<\/li>\n<li>develop constructive relationships with related organisations and committees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Between now and September, we are seeking individuals from across sectors to join this new group and help establish a more active and influential presence in Wales, contributing to the Association&#8217;s work on a national and international level.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to seeing this new group established and working together to support Learning Technology in Wales.<\/p>\n<p>To sign up, visit\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/goo.gl\/O6pfNJ\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/goo.gl\/O6pfNJ<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The ALT Wales Group is a new Special Interest Group (SIG) which is currently being established.
