How do the resources, methods and projects that make up Open Education support making education available to all? As a movement over 15 years old, has Open Education made an impact \u2013 on learners, on society and on education? What can we do to to support learning in the open \u2013 and how can we use open to support learning?<\/p>\n<p>The conference will be chaired by academic and Open Education researcher Vivien Rolfe, alongside Wonkhe Associate Editor David Kernohan [<a href=\"http:\/\/oer18.oerconf.org\/about\/co-chairs\/\">more about the co-chairs<\/a>].<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The programme encompasses a wide variety of session topics along the following themes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How can open practice and research support learner success?<\/li>\n<li>How does Open Education foster learner diversity and support inclusivity?<\/li>\n<li>What skills do learners need and develop in experiencing open learning?<\/li>\n<li>Politics in action \u2013 (following up from #OER17) \u2013 what are your latest initiatives in support of learning and growth?<\/li>\n<li>How is OER learning from, and contributing to, other open activities, e.g. open science, open source, open data, open access etc.?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This Open Ed Sig webinar gives you the opportunity to meet one of the keynotes from the conference, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LornaMCampbell\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lorna Campbell<\/a>\u00a0an acknowledged lead thinker in Open Education. Lorna&#8217;s blog has recently moved to <a href=\"https:\/\/lornamcampbell.wordpress.com\/2016\/07\/06\/new-blog-lornamcampbell-org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reclaim Hosting<\/a>\u00a0as she explains here &#8211; walking the walk and leading by example. We are delighted to welcome <a href=\"https:\/\/oer18.oerconf.org\/keynote-speakers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Momodou Sallah<\/a> too,\u00a0named the \u201cMost Innovative Teacher\u201d in the UK by Times Higher. He has more than 20 years\u2019 experience working with young people at local, national and international levels. We are also expecting to meet David Wiley, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/opencontent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">@opencontent<\/a>\u00a0currently education fellow at <a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Creative Commons<\/a>.
