So please bear with us whilst we are working on this behind the scenes.\u00a0As a result of our consultation (see below), the following strands of work have been suggested:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Inviting members and speakers to present a webinar in line with ELESIG&#8217;s core aims.<\/li>\r\n<li>Carrying out <a href=\"https:\/\/altc.alt.ac.uk\/elesig\/2019\/12\/one-strand-of-our-work-collaborative-research-project\/\">an inter-institutional collaboration on a particular research project, which is of common interest<\/a>.<\/li>\r\n<li>Mentoring colleagues to build capacity in learner experience research (linked to the above collaboration idea).<\/li>\r\n<li>Crowdsourcing and co-editing a Handbook of Learner Experience Research (in the context of digital education).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>If you wanted to get involved in any of the activities above, please <a href=\"https:\/\/altc.alt.ac.uk\/elesig\/contact\/\">contact us<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<h2>Past activities &amp; Consultation\u00a0<\/h2>\r\n<p>With the commitment of committee members in different regional groups, ELESIG has raised the importance and profile of learner experience research nationally and internationally. This was reflected in the running of the Learner Experience Research MOOC(#LERMOOC), successful regional group events, and a series of popular webinars in the last few years.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>In early 2019, the ELESIG Organising Committee ran a consultation with all our members to consider ELESIG\u2019s future directions (see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/wS83wg\">consultation document<\/a>) via a survey emailed to all members via our ning site. Altogether 70 members responded (of 2400 members on elesig.ning site).<\/p>\r\n<p>Some highlights of the positive results in terms of the value of ELESIG to members include (<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1gX3rK1VlUKvdtma2R4lARpDhq7O4p4gC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">please see the survey report in PDF for full details<\/a>):<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>Two-thirds of members responding indicated a preference for becoming a SIG within ALT.<\/li>\r\n<li>What members value (and want to keep) as\u00a0<em>distinct<\/em>\u00a0in ELESIG is its focus on learning experience over technology, and on research and evaluation &amp; sharing methods.<\/li>\r\n<li>Members also value the inclusiveness of ELESIG, it is seen a friendly and collegial group.<\/li>\r\n<li>Members indicated wishing to continue with successful and useful activities such as webinars and local\/regional events (with extending these to national\/international events).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Strands of work for 2022\/23 The following were key strands of work during this period Inviting members and speakers to present a webinar in line with ELESIG\u2019s core aims Continuation of the\u00a0Scholar scheme Please view the\u00a0ALT Events\u00a0page and\u00a0ALT Blog\u00a0for references to these activities.
