Description

Is Open Education more than an idealistic philosophy about how learning can be extended to all?
This session will demonstrate the practical support and debate that ALT’s Open Education Special Interest Group offers to all those involved in education at any level. The remit of this SIG is to support, develop, sustain and influence policy in open education.
You will be warmly invited to contribute your views and perspectives on key issues including:
· Strategies for creating a better understanding the landscape for education, managing ownership and creativity
· Methods of disseminating awareness of open licensing through use of Creative Commons
· Effective training approaches in the development of Open Educational Practice.
· Ensuring that all sectors of education and training can engage fully and effectively in Open Education.
