Description
Creating and maintaining an effective staff development strategy to increase digital literacy across the workforce can be a challenging task, but at the Grimsby Institute the Level Up process has had great success with both teaching and support staff. In just over 12 months approximately 60% of the staff have completed or engaged with the Level Up process, with over 10% of staff achieving their Gold standard. This has had benefits both in classroom delivery and assessment methods used, but also in workforce efficiency and streamlined processes.
We have adopted an open culture of developmental learning and our training model is informal and flexible. This, along with a few other motivators has helped to engage staff in the Level Up process. The benefits in terms of more engaging lesson content is clear to see, with tutors willing to engage with technology to harness its benefits. This was recently noted in our Ofsted inspection report, where we received an Outstanding grade.
This webinar will look at the Level Up process in detail, discuss how the programme has been managed and sustained and give examples of the barriers we overcame and notable success stories. The webinar will also look at how you can adopt a similar strategy at your organisation and key points that appear to be the main factors for a successful strategy.
