Description
Based on the work by ALT CEO Maren Deepwell and Aula CEO Anders Krohn this edit-a-thon (1) presents Maren’s, Anders’, and the ALT community’s work on creating a guide for learning technologists on ‘How and why to engage with startups’ and (2) aims to extend the existing work and derive new working questions, feedback and case studies.
How to take part in this edit-a-thon
We will be running a webinar session for provide a short introduction to the work and where we are at. We then invite participants to work collaboratively on an open Google doc.
The existing work (available as a work in progress guide here: https://altc.alt.ac.uk/blog/2017/10/how-and-why-should-learning-technologists-engage-with-start-ups/#gref) centres around two questions:
1) Why engage with startups?
2) How to work with startups (including how to find startups)
Participants in this session will be able to learn from the existing work – at a strategic and practical level – and to contribute to further work in this area. In addition, the session will be an opportunity for different stakeholders in the ALT community, from startups to learning technologists, to discuss insights from ‘both sides of the table’.
