The conference hashtag is #altc.

Most webinars will take place in Blackboard Collaborate Ultra. Even if you are familiar with Blackboard, it is important that you check in advance that your system and connection are capable of handling a session. Please see our Using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra page.

Tweetchats will be led by presenters. The hashtag for tweetchats will be included on the session page and also announced from the @A_L_T account with the #altc hashtag.

  • Make a commitment: We have a full programme every day. Block out time or consider participating away from your usual desk to avoid interruptions.
  • Be prepared: Check that you are familiar with the timetable and how to access sessions.
  • Be realistic with your time: It might not be realistic to participate in every session, so look for sessions that interest you the most.
  • Keep other participants in mind: The conference is open to everyone with a diverse set of skills and will include those whose first language might not be English. Please keep this in mind when engaging with others.

As part of a research study into virtual versus in person events we would invite all participants to complete a short survey. The study is being conducted by Emma-Jane Brazier, ALT’s Events Manager, as part of her MSc International Events Management. We hope that you can contribute to this project by completing the survey. Taking part is of course optional and should you choose to opt in all information you provide is anonymous.
