The idea that open educational resources (OERs) and open practices (OEP) become ‘default’ is always an underlying goal of the open education community. Research has looked at mechanisms for sustaining content sharing and release, or how this might require us to understand ourselves as an open resource and our ability to act as a collective. From a different perspective we can also argue that global education as a whole needs to consider how it is part of a sustainable future, for example, what are its impact on resources, energy, biodiversity and people’s lives? Where and how can ‘open’ fit in?
This twitter chat hosted quiz, or twiz, is a community social event brought to you by the #openedsig. Designed to get us thinking about the open-education-sustainability nexus. Take part in our #altc #sustainableopen quiz on twitter. The top two participants (pulled out of a hat if there are multiple winners) will receive prizes of Pukka Tea.
