Creativity isn’t just for the arts. At its core it is a problem-solving tool that can be applied to explore and resolve messy scenarios and move forwards when you are stuck. It is at the roots of innovation and the generation of new ideas. To build creativity or design thinking intentionally into the curriculum can support student success, no matter what the subject. This presentation looks at the learning designs developed for two specialist profession-focused universities, one fully online and one providing blended delivery, and demonstrates the role that digital spaces can play in the development of design thinking skills.
