Open Education Special Interest Group

The Open Education SIG (OESIG) was established in March 2012. The remit of this SIG is to support, develop, sustain and influence policy in open education.

For further information about the SIG including details of our Committee Members visit the About page.

We hope that this will prove an interesting and useful way of stimulating an exchange of ideas about open education. The first blog post raises some questions about how the notion of the ‘sharing economy’ might impact on education. Do please join in the conversation by adding a comment. You can access the blog from the link on the green menu bar (above).

We welcome contributions to the blog, so if you would like to write a post please let us know.

We have an open forum where we invite all interested in Open Education to discuss and share in order to help us inform policy makers and bring together the many voices of Open. If you are an ALT member please use your ALT credentials to post. Even if you are not yet an ALT member you will be able to post to this forum by registering through filling in this form .

Please use our new hashtag #OPENEDSIG to follow our activities and share your Open Education tweets on twitter !
