The hashtag for the event is #altc. We use this tag for all our events and information. Our Twitter account is @A_L_T. You can find out more about how you can get connected with other Members of ALT.

Conference Programme

You can access each of the webinar sessions directly from the conference programme.  All the sessions at the ALT Online Winter Conference are led by Members of ALT.

Conference Platform

The online conference will be supported by a dedicated website from which you can access all sessions and connect with other participants. The platform is publicly accessible. To enable additional features, you will need to sign in. For more guidance on using the platform visit these Help pages.

Top tips for participation

We’ve prepared some tips for getting the most out of your online conference experience. As the conference goes on, you can take time out to chat with friends and new acquaintances in our Virtual Café. Also don’t forget to tune in to the introductory sessions each day.

Creating your personal schedule and commenting on sessions

This site is publicly accessible but to use features for creating your personal schedule or connecting with other participants, you need to be logged in. If you are not signed in, there is a ‘Log in’ link at the top of every page. This site uses your main ALT username and password, which you would have created when you became a Member of registered for the event. If you did not register yourself or don’t know your username, you can request a new password/username here and if you are still stuck, you can email helpdesk@alt.ac.uk. Here is more information on following/commenting on sessions.

Webinars

Most webinars will take place in Blackboard Ultra. Even if you are familiar with Blackboard, it is important that you check in advance that your system and connection are capable of handling a session. For full guidance please see our Blackboard Ultra Guide.

To join webinars, click the ‘Join Webinar’ button on the individual session page, which can be accessed from the timetable.

Tweet Chats

Tweetchats will be led by presenters. The hashtag for tweetchats will be included on the session page and also announced from the @A_L_T account with the #altc hashtag.
