Description
Game-based learning isn’t just for kids! Video games are increasingly used in higher and further education contexts to enrich the learning experience. Whether it’s designed to elucidate taught material, or intended to develop students’ skills and competencies, game-based learning has a role in play at university and college. In this tweetchat, participants will be invited to share their practice of using games in HE and FE. Examples will also be drawn from The Educator Perspective chapter of the recently published Graduate Skills and Game-Based Learning, which features interviews with educators who have used games in higher education. The author will also answer (and perhaps ask!) questions relating to game-based learning in HE, drawing on his research in this area.
