Description
Jisc is developing a toolkit to help colleges and universities to support new or incoming students to use technology effectively in their learning and to get the most from the digital environment that is on offer. The toolkit is based on the findings from the Jisc digital experience insights student surveys. The focus of this edit-a-thon session is to critique the proposed publications and to populate the resource with real examples from edit-a-thon participants.
The toolkit highlights relevant survey findings, identifies key areas that organisations may wish to consider and includes draft messages for students, customisable to reflect your own needs and practices. This is very much a live document for colleges and universities to customise and make their own.
To reflect sector differences there are two documents – one for further education and one for higher education. After the event, both documents will be updated and openly published via the digitalinsights.jisc.ac.uk website.
