The games we play (Paperclip special!)

If you find a game that you enjoy, hate or are otherwise intrigued by, please do let the group know through commenting or posting on our blog. We can then share experiences and discuss how the elements of the game could support a learning experience – there’s always something we can learn from it!

This week a few of us have been making paperclips.

I thought this was a ‘cookie-clicker’ clone, but it is so much more. Optimising your paperclip manufacturing strategy is just the beginning. You find yourself captivated by the increasingly complex model and the working on your strategy to create world peace or buy a Photonic Chip (and no, they never explain what that is but you want one anyway!).

A good post about the game has been posted by The Verge. Or jump in and play the game (assuming you have nothing else to do for a few days as you’ll be hooked!)

Do comment, if you’ve tried it!
