We are committed to make OER23 a sustainable event that is open and inclusive. A key part of our strategy is offering scholarships to speakers and participants for whom cost is a barrier. We offer scholarships for in person and online conference registration.

We review scholarship applications every 2-3 weeks. You should hear from us no later than 3 weeks after your application.
Scholarship FAQs
- Who can apply? We welcome applications from students and professionals whose study or work is focused on OER based anywhere in the world, who are not otherwise supported by an organisation. Priority will be given to speakers who have been accepted to present and first-time participants.
- What is covered? Scholarships cover full registration costs but do not cover travel & accommodation.
- How are scholarships awarded? Awards are decided on merit, and allocated on a first come first served basis. There is no appeal procedure once a decision has been made.
- What proof do I require to apply? You may be required to provide evidence of your circumstances in order to qualify (e.g student number, line manager’s letter, etc).
