ocTEL course underway, registration still open
Welcoming over 900 participants, we launched the Open Course in Technology Enhanced Learning (ocTEL) on Monday, 28th April 2014.
ocTEL is a 7-week Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) to help participants understand better how to use technology to enhance teaching practices.
The open, flexible nature of ocTEL means we’d argue that you cannot fail the course or fail to complete it. It’s really about getting ocTEL to work for you and setting your goals, so that they may guide your path.
A good way to get more acquainted with how ocTEL works is to watch the first webinar, which includes a panel session featuring questions and answers for ocTEL tutors and participants from last year’s course.
This year’s course incorporates digital badges so you will have something to show for participating.
ocTEL runs until the week of 16 June 2014 and will be covering content related to learners and learning; materials, platforms and technologies; support, feedback and assessment; leadership, management and keeping on track; and enhancement, review and evaluation.
Registration remains open throughout the course. For more information, see the course platform:http://octel.alt.ac.uk/2014/ and follow news and discussions on Twitter using #ocTEL.
